The telemetry data-sharing underwriting fee is your client's investment in the Cover Whale Driver Safety Program, and is assessed at binding. This fee, applied to each vehicle, supports our holistic approach to safety that includes real-time driver coaching, monitoring services, and an ongoing commitment to reducing claims. It also covers the cost of the Cover Whale-supplied dashcam if selected as the policyholder's telemetry data-sharing option.

Cover Whale's Driver Safety Program uniquely combines telematics, coaching, and coverage to ensure your clients are safe and able to continually operate. ELD connections and dual-facing dashcams are requirements for our auto liability coverage, monitoring and flagging unsafe driving instances such as speeding and hard braking. Dashcams also record accidents, providing valuable evidence that could protect your client in the event of a claim.

Upon detection of unsafe driving patterns, we keep the policyholder up to speed with a mix of emails and texts. This blend of contact points works to increase awareness of their driving habits and encourages safer driving. Our aim is to help prevent accidents and pricey claims before they occur, ultimately helping them lowering their rates.
