What is DocuSign and why should I use it?

Last Updated 10/16/23

DocuSign is the fast, dependable way to electronically sign documents on nearly any device, from almost anywhere. When requesting to bind, opt-in to use DocuSign for easy form completion.

Why use DocuSign?

  • Policies can be bound instantly.
  • While most insurance companies require next-day effective dates, DocuSign allows us to bind using same-day effective dates.
  • Policyholders can sign anytime, anywhere.
  • Faster than waiting for an underwriter to complete your bind.
  • Say goodbye to status calls and hold times.

How does it work?

  1. Request an instant bind using DocuSign. The agent receives an email with binding documentation for signing and assisting policyholders with any non-automated forms.
  2. Policyholders receive an email for final signatures.
  3. The policy is now bound, and binding documents are sent to the agent.

Can I switch to DocuSign after choosing manual bind? Yes! Opt-in anytime by clicking Request Instant Bind within the submission.

Can I track signature progress? Yes! Click Track Signatures in the submission to see email status, recipients, and document signing progress.

Can I request a manual bind with a same-day effective date? Only instant binds with DocuSign offer same-day effective dates.

What if I didn't receive the DocuSign email? Check your spam folder first. If not there, click Track Signatures, then Resend. You can also edit the email address on this page.
