Creating an endorsement on the Cover Whale Platform is simple. Just follow these steps:
- Log in to the Cover Whale Platform and search for the submission in question.
- Click on the purple submission number link.
- Click Create Endorsement.
- Confirm the effective date and click Create Endorsement again.
- Make the necessary change: Add or remove a vehicle or trailer (only for auto liability; to bind, we'll need a de-lease agreement, termination agreement, bill of sale, or signed agreement), add or remove a driver, update the named insured, add loss payee, update mailing or terminal address, request different limits of insurance, or change radius or commodities.
- After making the change, click Request Quote.
- Read and agree to the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Brokerage Agreement, then click Request Quote.
- You'll receive the endorsement quote through an automated email. If the quote and pricing are acceptable, click Request to Bind.
- Underwriters will review the endorsement. If they need more information or documents, they'll contact you using the Info Needed button in the Platform. You'll receive an automated email with their correspondence. Once underwriters have what they need, they'll approve the binder on the endorsement.
