How do I change the effective date of an endorsement?

Changing the effective date of an endorsement on the Cover Whale Platform is simple. Just follow these steps:

1. Log in to the Cover Whale Platform.
2. Search for the submission and click on the purple submission number link.
3. Click Revise Quote or Change App located on the right.
4. Click the Submission tab on the left.
5. Choose a new effective date (either the same day or a future date; backdating is not permitted, and the system doesn't allow it).
6. Click Next.
7. Scroll down and click the Review tab on the left.
8. Agree to the terms by checking the box and clicking Request Quote.

Please note: We cannot backdate any changes unless due to a Cover Whale error, system issue, or a vehicle being deemed a total loss. Proof of clear intent must be attached to the Files tab and must be dated the same as the effective date of the change or prior.
