How do I bind using DocuSign?

For an instant bind that's 400% faster than the manual process, try the following steps with DocuSign:

  1. Click Request to Bind.
  2. Click Try Instant Bind.
  3. Double-check the accuracy of the selected coverages, and enter the payment options.
  4. Confirm the correct effective date, and input the insured's full name. Then, enter the retail agent's email followed by the insured's email.
  5. To reverse the order of who signs first, simply click Reverse.
  6. Read and agree to the electronic signature terms. Type your full name to sign and agree, and click Request to Bind.
  7. Use Track Signature Status to check when the documents have been sent, opened, and signed by both parties.
  8. An email will be sent to the insured inviting them to review and sign the documents.
  9. Once both parties have completed their signatures, our system will instantly bind the account, and issue the policies and other documents digitally.
