      Driver Eligibility Guidelines

      Eligible Driver Guidelines

      • MVRS: Current to 30 days old
      • Minimum Age- 23 years old, Maximum 65-70 Depending on carrier with Medical form
      • Maintain Appropriate Class for vehicle operated
      • 2 years experience driving - like vehicles required
      • 2 years experience required for new ventures
      • Violations: No more than 3 minor violations in prior 3 years including accidents
      • No more than 1 accident in prior 3 years
      • No major violations in past 5 years
      • Excessive Out of Service Vehicle Citations-Referral to Underwriting

      Minor Violations

      • Speeding

      • Improper or excessive lane changes

      • Following too closely

      • Accidents

      • Running a red light or stop sign.

      • Failure to yield.

      • Suspension for child support payments

      • Suspension for medical card lapse

      Major Violations

      • Speeding 20 MPH or more above the posted limit

      • Reckless/Carless Driving

      • Passing Stopped School Bus

      • Texting/Talking Without Hand Free Devise While Driving

      • Hit and Run.

      • Drag Racing

      • Driving Under the Influence- DUI or DWI

      • Criminal Conviction including assault or homicide Involving motor vehicle.

      • Driving with suspended license other than child support or medical card lapse

      Classes Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) 

      • Class A: Operate Vehicle over 26,000 GVW (Tractor/Trailers)

      • Class B: Operate Straight Truck/Dump Truck/Bus without Trailer over 26,000 GVW.

      • Class C: Operate Small Vehicles/Passenger Vans/Trucks Less than 26,000 GVW.
